earth festival

According to organizers, Earth Festival 2011, held on Saturday, April 9 at Milford Central School, was the best attended Earth Festival to date. The record crowd was estimated at more than 800 visitors, and the number of exhibitors also exceeded that of past years.

Highlights of Earth Festival 2011 were: the “Go Green Fashion Show,” hosted by Milford Central School students and sponsored by the Milford Central School Education Foundation Inc.; free Styrofoam collection; the EcoArt/Trendy Trash contest; and Bag Monster® by ChicoBag™.

Earth Festival is an environmentally focused, interactive event featuring exhibits, workshops, vendors, food and entertainment, all with a fun, earth-friendly twist. Earth Festival 2011 was sponsored by OCCA and Wildlife Learning Company. Two OCCA representatives – Board President Martha Clarvoe and Administrative Director Darla M. Youngs – served on the Earth Festival Steering Committee, along with Susan O’Handley and Richard McCaffery.
