Celebrate the arrival of early spring with a guided nature walk at Silas Lane in Oneonta, designed especially for homeschool students and their families. We’ll explore the trails behind the soccer fields, looking for the first signs of the changing season—melting snow, emerging buds, returning birds, and tracks in softening ground.
During our walk, we’ll take time to slow down and make observations about the subtle transitions from winter to spring. Students will be encouraged to use their senses to notice colors, textures, sounds, and patterns in the landscape, building early skills in seasonal awareness and nature journaling.
This program is family-friendly and geared toward school-age children. Younger siblings are welcome.
