Join OCCA and certified mushroom forager Shane Gardner for a guided mushroom walk on Sunday, August 31 at 2 p.m. This two-hour educational outing is part of our ongoing monthly series and invites participants to explore the woods while learning to recognize a wide range of wild mushrooms. As we walk, we’ll examine different species, discuss their importance in forest ecosystems, and build foundational ID skills. While this is not a foraging event for edible use, participants are welcome to collect samples during the walk to bring back for discussion during a concluding Q&A session.
