Queer and BIPOC Outdoor Adventure: Moving Meditation

Join OCCA Executive Director, Amy Wyant, on an exploration of moving meditation. Have you tried traditional mediation but feel like your not very good at it? Need to find something new to help calm your mind and focus your attention? Well then this is the program for you. This program, in Richfield Springs, NY will spend time discussing moving meditation, how to customize your own practise (even if your brain sometimes feels like grand central station at 5 pm). We will then embark on a meditative walk in nature and conclude with iced tea (or hot tea, depending on the weather) and cookies. Please bring a reuseable water bottle, journal and any portable items that you find calming (fidget toys, crochet/knitting, sketch pad and pencils, etc… ) The pace will be a light walk with elevation changes. Wear sturdy shoes/hiking boots that can get dirty.
